1. Providing the Right Tools
If you want your affiliates to actually produce and do it quickly you must give them the right tools for the job. At a minimum this should include copy for emails and social media posts in addition to articles, white papers and blogs. If you really want to stand out and attract the best affiliate marketing partners then you may want to create sticky widgets and other interactive tools as well.
2. Recruiting
If you really want to see big results you have to be out there actively seeking partners to add to your affiliate marketing program. A tiny link at the bottom of one of your web pages just isn’t going to cut it. One great way is to utilize affiliate marketing networks like Clickbank or Commission Junction. However, you can also actively go after new affiliates with social media and email campaigns and drive them to landing pages or create videos to make it more appealing.
3. Use The Phone
Email, web pages, social media, blogging and affiliate networks are all great for getting affiliates. However, don’t overlook just picking up the phone. Do it different to your competition and provide live support or even proactively tele-market potential affiliate marketing partners.
4. Follow Up
Go beyond the usual sign up and wait and see formula for mediocre affiliate marketing success. Actually follow up. You should have real live affiliate managers on staff to maximize your affiliate marketing programs. Have them schedule regular calls to motivate partners, let them know about new products and services and build loyalty with your affiliates.
5. Provide Training
Consider actually providing training to your affiliate marketing network to help them really master their end of it. This can be as simple as text on a web page or it could be how to videos or even a webinar that can really get people pumped up to produce for you.
